just finished fourth wing on 4/27/24, here are my predictions for the next book!

Clay's Predictions for Iron Flame

1. The overall plot and major events

Clay predicts that there will be a big battle at the school or when the wards collapse, but it probably won't happen in the next book. He believes that the characters will go back to school in book two, despite the major battle in book one, similar to the Harry Potter series. Clay also thinks there will be more small attacks on outposts by the Venin Wyverns, with the characters having to defend against a big attack at some point - probably the end of the book harry potter style

"But now, like, Xaden and his team are smuggling out daggers to help save people outside the wall, which means, obviously, like, in book five or something, there will be, like, this big battle, like, at the school, or when the wards collapse, finally, the next book, they probably won't collapse, and there are three years of school."

"Thing is, there's four books left in this. It was five books. I mean, everyone wants to mimic Harry Potter, so going back to school for book two, even though they just encountered a ferocious final battle with book one, is something that's been pulled off before."

"Yeah, I don't know. I mean, if my prediction is they're going back to school, then there'll be more and more little attacks on the outposts. But eventually there will be some sort of big one they have to fly out for. They'll have to like, defend the day again."

2. Violet's role in the resistance

Clay predicts that Violet will secretly be part of the resistance while at school, helping to smuggle daggers and support new rebellion first years.

"If they do, then, well, Violet will secretly be in the resistance, and maybe sometimes she can smuggle out help smuggle and stuff, and, like, help the new rebellion first years survive and stuff."

3. Xaden and Violet's relationship

Clay believes that Violet will take a step back in her relationship with Xaden, and Xaden will pursue her romantically for about 20% of the book.

"Um, well, Violet is taking a step back, obviously. Now Xaden's gonna be the one gunning for her a little bit for at least, I don't know, for at least a little while, maybe 20% of the book or so."

4. Andarna's new power

Clay predicts that Tairn will give Andarna a new utility-focused power to replace her lost time travel ability. He thinks it could be something like mending, less powerful than time travel but more frequently usable.

"So Andarna's power will be some sort of, like, utility power, not focused on primary killing. Could even be mending. I don't know."

5. The school's potential corruption

Clay suggests that the school may become corrupted, with only certain levels of leadership knowing what's really going on, while the teachers remain well-meaning.
